| We have recently purchased a city rowhouse that has a small enclosed back yard/courtyard with retaining walls on three sides. There are two raised beds with trees (2) and other plants that we are tending to. The remaining area was decked (over cement) years ago, and 2 ft high retaining boards used to define the beds. We have torn all of that out (deteriorated wood) and need to have a new brick or flagstone patio built. In addition, the brick steps from the back door are deteriorated and need to be rebuilt. | Hello, My name is Kevin Rindahl. I live along the Fox River in Silver Lake. My bank runs approximately 175 feet along the West side of my property. It is approximately ten feet down to the water, and quite steep through most ofit. It has eroded somewhat over the years, and needs to be taken care of as soon as possible. I would like to build a retaining wall along the entire distance that is both functional and ascetically pleasing. Also walkways on either side of the house one that is 10' by 20, the other is 10' by 30.The front garden is large and is already in a lawn and just needs some cleanup. We are interested in having the walkways and back yard landscaped. Ideally the back garden would be converted to a patio. The preference would be to use large natural stone, not small bricks.
